“Road to Nowhere” – Free Daggerheart Supplement for the Sallowlands

A gigantic creature twisted by the Umbra races across the devastated Sallowlands—and an entire city of outsiders has made its home on its back: Road to Nowhere is a new free supplement for Daggerheart that combines the dark world of Age of Umbra: Sallowlands with post-apocalyptic action.

Road to Nowhere was written and designed by Jack Panic of DNGN Club in collaboration with Darrington Press. The supplement is set in the same world as the Critical Role series Age of Umbra: Sallowlands, but is explicitly not part of the official canon.

The setting centers on the Roadwurm, a gigantic titan whose seemingly endless body forms a living road that is constantly on the move. Upon this creature lies Nowhere, a city inhabited by outcasts and nomads.

The supplement provides characters, background material, Adversaries, and activities for the setting. Among its most unusual features are blood-powered motorcycles and a dedicated racing system for Daggerheart. These rules can be used to stage dangerous death races—something Jack Panic himself jokingly describes as a kind of “grimdark Mario Kart.”

Road to Nowhere has been available as a free PDF since August 12, 2026. A limited 24-page print edition for $5 has also been announced for PAX Unplugged in December, where it will be available at the Darrington Press booth.

With Road to Nowhere, Daggerheart gets a rather unusual combination: grimdark fantasy, gigantic monsters, a city racing across the wasteland, and post-apocalyptic motorcycle races—all completely free.
