“Amazing Adversaries & Environments”: Eight Daggerheart Locations for Every Tier

More than 100 new Adversaries is already an impressive number—but there is much more to Amazing Adversaries & Environments than a collection of monsters. The ongoing Kickstarter from CZRPG / The Amazing RPG combines eight complete wilderness locations with 56 scenes and Environments, numerous maps, and an unusual approach to scaling. GMs who want to take things further can even connect the material into a cohesive mini-campaign.

The eight locations are spread across four different types of terrain: two each take the characters to the coast, forest, mountains, and swamp. Every location comes with its own background material and is intended to provide enough content for several game sessions. At the same time, the locations are deliberately designed to be easily incorporated into existing Campaign Frames and homebrew worlds without requiring extensive adjustments.

One particularly interesting feature is their scalability across all four Daggerheart Tiers. It is not just individual Adversaries that can be scaled—the complete locations are designed to work at every Tier, from a newly formed party to powerful characters deep into an advanced campaign. This means material prepared once can potentially remain useful later in the same campaign.

Individual Adventures or a Complete Mini-Campaign

In total, Amazing Adversaries & Environments includes 56 standalone scenes and Environments as well as more than 100 new Adversaries. Each scene is designed to work independently, allowing GMs to pick individual elements and integrate them into their own campaigns.

For those who want more, the collection also includes an optional overarching storyline connecting the individual scenes into a cohesive mini-campaign. This allows the material to serve either as a toolbox for individual encounters or as the foundation for a longer adventure.

Maps also play a major role. The project includes 64 maps, while VTT groups will have access to map packs featuring more than 500 digital variants and around 6 GB of material in total. Gridless versions are included as well.

There is already an opportunity to see how the concept is intended to work at the table before backing the campaign. The Sky Isles is available as a free 36-page preview. It includes one of the eight planned locations, providing an unusually extensive look at how Locations, Environments, and Adversaries will be structured in the finished product.

For CZRPG, the campaign also marks its entry into Daggerheart. The publisher already produces battlemaps, encounters, and adventure supplements for D&D 5e and explicitly describes this Kickstarter as its start with Daggerheart.
